What Do You Think About Gaming channels?

A gaming channel needs to have something unique. If its standard gameplay then im afraid I'm not too interested as there are too many videos doing that already. You need to add your own twist - something that makes your videos different to others.....

Depends what the channel niche is. I have a call of duty zombies channel so I like watching other zombies players to get new tips and strategies to get better myself. When subbing I usually go for quality over quantity, If a channel is just churning out lets plays, it kind of defeats the point of youtube imo.

I used to think gaming channels were boring. I always thought to myself why would someone watch someone play through a game for hours when they can play it themselves and I wouldn't watch any of them. Then I watched some pewdiepie and tobygames videos and now I realized why people watch gaming videos and they can be great and very entertaining to watch if it has good/funny commentary.

There is many different maps on minecraft for minecraft videos it is just that people go for the famous ones not the new ones by people no one has heard of so go for the ones people don't know so people can have something to watch you for. Call of duty is all of the same pretty much. Far cry people can different perspectives at least and their is all kinds of old games that people watch but not many do. So I say people can do gaming videos it is just that YOU have to stand out.

I enjoy watching gaming videos. Usually, they have some fun/interesting commentary. I'm always amazed by redstone tutorials on minecraft and lucky shots for shooters. I have a gaming channel as well (only been posting minecraft lately and can't pull myself away from it).

Yeah I think they're totally stupid & I can't wait to start doing some gaming videos. LOL ... Here's my opinion. I don't want to watch gameplay. Why would I want to sit around watching somebody play and act stupid on the mic when I could be playing myself. Now, I do like game tips, special how-to & walkthroughs or anything that actually holds value .. not the entertainment value of seeing how loud somebody can scream in their mic or how many times they can say f**k in under a minute. I will end up doing some gaming tutorials but I doubt you will ever find me just recording myself playing for hours on end.
