What do you do?

What do you guys do when you don't have videos to work on? When your videos for the day are already uploaded and you are ahead in your work, what do you do to work on your channel? Do you focus on advertising the videos? Do you try to grow your social networks? There's so much stuff to focus on its hard for me to figure out what to do exactly.

Right now I have a very small subscriber base, and a lot of the videos dont' get many views since it is gaming and its oversaturated, but I do have certain videos that grab the views. I'm not certain if I should focus on those or move onto the videos that aren't getting as many views as it would be harder to get the attention to them since they are just games of league.

So what do you guys do? I'm a bit overwhelmed at the moment and would love to hear about what you guys do.

I normally just look where my traffic is coming from. It's interesting to see what websites embed videos. I haven't had any share chain reactions like I did in May. Once I get my GoPro dog harness I expect to get some good share action though!

You could make a list of all the different items you want to improve upon. Then instead of feeling overwhelmed (happens to plenty of us so don't worry) just pick one when you have free time and work on it. You can choose randomly, based on your mood and what you feel like doing, or even on what you can do the quickest. But try not to get too worried. This is meant to be an enjoyable experience! (=

The list idea is a good idea, I think I'll make one and hang it up by my desk so I can see it whenever I'm just sitting around doing nothing. Thanks for the tip ^_^

When I am done uploading videos for the day, I work on my other projects, like my blogs. I never stress over how many views I get.

Since I have 4 uploads a week, I tend to spend a lot of time working on them anyway. Even if I do get all my work early, I find something else to work on. It always seems to be something like work with a friend on a new video or making posts on forums.

When my videos are edited and finally uploaded, I walk away and not come back until I'm ready to record again. I don't have time to sit on my channel page and bask in the glory that is me!

Although in the next few days when I have some spare time, I'll slowly work on my thumbnails and change over to my new 'style'.

I've started making sure that I at least try to get some R&R into my day so I spend the day editing then the night relaxing to make sure I'm as fresh as possible for the next video I either record or edit. I advise not going overboard, if you're feeling overwhelmed, take a step back for a moment, literally just stop doing YouTube related stuff and play a game or watch a TV show, or I guess watch YouTube videos whatever can get you relaxed then take a moment to think about what's a priority and work on that. If you overwhelm yourself, your content can suffer for it and so will your supporters.
