Yeah I have to, I can't just keep a good train of thought doing free speech. I don't script gameplays or anything though but commentaries, reviews and tutorial videos, I script.
What do you do while your video is rendering?

Ahh. That makes sense. I also often lose my train of thought to speeches and stuff so, I get why you're doing scripts for commentary videos and stuff

Usually, while it renders I'll play something on my xbox one, watch tv or sleep. but in all honesty i stare blankly at the screen trying to WILL the percentage to move faster lol. I use an editor called "AVS Video editor" so my editting choices are limited. but it doesn't seem to take too long to render. i'm still new also, so i'm not as intensive at rendering as a lot of you awesome youtubers are. but I'll GET THERE! yeah. I really just stare at the screen....I have no life lol

I stare at the screen while I wait too lol! Well, unless I have something else that I need to do. I'm new-ish too so I'm still unsure of some things but we'll get the hang of things if we keep doing YT

I used to do that on my pc until the time that my pc gave up on me and the mouse won't work, no matter what I do. I don't do thumbnail and stuff now because it hangs when I do other stuff while my laptop is rendering the video

Haha awh, you could probably change some settings in your PC so you can still create the thumbnail and stuff! Or you should maybe think about getting an upgrade because it saves a lot of time to do things at the same time!

Depends how long it'll take to render (also, I typically upload really late at night), but usually:
Work on a thumbnail, do chores, watch tv in the other room, re-organize my setup, make food, decide which video to make/edit (sometimes I've already made multiple videos and only have to decide which one I want to put up) next.

Yup, I do random things just to pass the time while the video is rendering, too. I plan out what I'm gonna upload next, too
