What do I use to record video/audio and edit!

Guys, I found many of you use Adobe Premiere or Sony Vegas, what's the difference between these two programs?
Any ideas?
 
Don't use Fraps, it messes up your FPS meaning when you record, your FPS bounces up and down and doesn't actually stay the same when it may say it does.

Use DXTory, it has so many more customizable features and you can set a lock on your FPS of which it would never change throughout recording :)

Desktop recording: Camtasia 8
Editing software: SpeedEdit 2 / EditStudio 6.04
Audio recording: Audacity
Webcam: Sony EyeToy
