What Camera Do you Use ?

I use the canon t3i and I have no complaints at all. You just have to learn to use it, learning to change the iso and the aperture are very important for situations with different lighting.
 
Going gh3 or 4 is nice, however I use a canon 6D. I really love it because it allowed me to get a full frame sensor with all the benefits that come there and I had more wiggle room to invest in nice lenses. I also souped it up with magic lantern which allows me to play with some camera raw abilities.
 
i use the cannon 1200d not sure what it's called in the u.s but the T3I certainly is a good option as you can upgrade as you go along however DSLR's do have about a 10 min limit on video recording time so thats something to be weary of if you are looking for something a little less pricey any of Cannon's legria camcorders are pretty good and a little less expensive.

As far as laptop's go unless you absolutely need the portability i would advice to build your own tower depending on what you do it's often cheaper than pre built laptops more powerful for the price too.

Odd thing is your videos look great. I would have done the same thing, but my Canon SX30is will only do 720p, so I picked up a Canon Vixia camcorder.
 
Currently I use a cybershot w810 and a logitek c110. Looking at getting myself a nikon coolpix l820 though.
 
I'm using a Nikon D3100 with a 35mm lens. Certainly not the best camera for video but well, it does its job.

I use my iPhone to create vlogs on my weight loss journey and I upload them to HD on YouTube privetly then download them to I can add my channel trailer and some background music, I use my crappy little dell laptop which I need to fix very soon since it's gone really slow! x
