What bitrate should I use for 720 P

If I record lets play video by 5k bitrate in video editor i export it with 1k bitrare
am I doing it right ?

For 720 30fps, 5 mbps
for 720 60 fps, 7.5 mbps

I usually use 7Mbps for h.264 for 720p@60FPS and it comes out fine. ^^

Long time since I done 30FPS but I remember using 5-6Mbps and it looks fine.

I change it depending on how the quick renders I do of segments of the video look, I recommend rendering 1-2 5-20 second pieces of video before rendering to see.
