What Bit rate should I render gameplay at?

Oh also I don't see why you would need to render it higher than 14mbps as this is the highest a HDPVR can record at, you're just making the files a lot larger than they need to be.

Fraps records my videos at 22mb+ thats where I got the number from. I dont record with a pvr.
 
Just saying, this is what youtube compress's videos to, unless you're a youtube creator, then you get higher encoding,

I sometimes use 720p, VBR 2 pass - 3Mbps. That is great for low upload speeds. The quality may not be perfect if there is a lot of movement, but try experimenting with 3Mbps, and move it up till the quality is perfect. 2 Pass encodes twice, meaning that you can use very low bitrates, and the second time it encodes, it improves the low quality parts with better quality.
