What are your top tips to help channels grow?

I Love YTtalk
Up to about 65 subscribers now, and I am keen to hit 100 by Easter. I do the usual stuff, post on Reddit, facebook, twitter, G+ etc, but I was wondering what else can be recommended to continue to help growth happen for the channel?

There isn't really a special way to do it in my opinion, just be active in forums, help people out and post the best quality videos to your ability! :D

Also try to keep improving at what you are doing no matter what happens, even if it is in small areas. If you keep doing that then you will get to where you want to be eventually. That being said here are some tips that I think should help you out.

1. Comment on other youtube videos, message other users, try to get your vids on other channels, sub, like, and link to other channels around your size that you enjoy. I've seen you comment on some of my vids so good stuff! Just keep at it, this is prob one of the very most important steps early on as you are growing. Spend a lot of time doing this.

2. Learn how to get traffic to your videos. Again this is trial and error, but learning SEO and other ways to get traffic will pay off HUGE. This is a trial and error sort of thing though, as just recently I found out that ranking for a popular game that is ether new or not yet released is fairly easy to do. Even if its just getting a decent ranking for a day or two, 600 views really makes a difference when you are small.

3. Improving on your videos is probably going to be my last suggestion. Look into learning how to edit, get better equipment and learn how to be more entertaining. I know this is something I REALLY need to improve on. Also try to upload videos as much as possible.

Hope that helps ya out :P

All of these tips are amazing, thanks to all of you for sharing your own personal experiences. Guides can be all well and good, but I much prefer reading personal experiences :D

Granted, but what I want is personal experience, what have you personally done that has helped facilitate grwoth
I can give more current advice when I launch my new channel this week (waiting on camera equipment), but what worked in 2012 was messaging a lot of people, replying to every comment, making my viewers feel valuable, and doing videos on current topics. I didn't perfect any of those methods, as the current topics thing was often done when I didn't feel like doing it (and the quality suffered). Like everyone says, there is no magic formula, but consistently doing something (badly/wrong) isn't the answer like some people say. i.e. The guy uploading random Minecraft videos everyday with no direction will not gain a following if he pumps out the same feces for a year.
