What are you goals?

Yeah I agree, it's nice (and embarrassing at the same time) to see where I came from. :D And I'm growing (and have been growing) consistently I'd say. One of my videos (that was uploaded a year ago) just reached 1 million views which is a lot for me but it didn't happen overnight so I don't think it classifies as a 'viral' video. :D
Thank you for taking your time to respond :). Good to know you don't need to find a viewers injection in terms of virals to grow. I started a 'music' channel some months ago, and try to find out where I could be in 3 years. But I must admit you have a bit more talent in your left toe than I have in me and my family alltogether :D

Did you spend a lot of time promoting your stuff? Or did you finding it growing naturally?

I dream of making a difference for disabled people like me. I want to be able to show people that no matter your circumstances you can still make it.
I am excited to one day get to meet others who are disabled and hopefully lift their spirits a bit. :)

Honestly my goal is kinda unclear. I started You-tubing because I was depressed and I watched Markiplier's vlogs and it showed me how much it changed him and his perspective from when he started to where he is now. So I had somewhat of the same quest. Not saying that I'd ever get to a point in which I have 100k or even 1m subs, but just being able to do something I love and maybe even give someone else a laugh or two. I guess I feel that I have done nothing with my life when it comes to gaming and You-tubing kind of makes gaming a more productive and interactive experience for not only me, but for others who may enjoy what I do or make.

Hey everyone, so a lot of people start a youtube channel for a reason so I am curious what yours is. I started mine because I always wanted to be a stand-up comedian, to tour the world and stand on that stage with hundreds of people. I took drama and was part of an actors club when I was younger but it is different when the audience is laughing at you instead haha.
Wow I guess my goals are same as urs, I wanna be actor or comedian :D
I dream of performing and playing my music around the world
I started my youtube in my Alevels, i used to study art subjects and people used to come to me and stand behind me as i paint and tell me "the way you paint is so hypnotizing"
also at the time i was interested in looking at other people's work that did alevel art and i found that their were not enough videos for that or people documenting their work while they study so i started it up in hope to see how it would feel like looking at my self paint and hoping other people will find it beneficial.
Being asian i lived in a culture where you are looked down at if you did art subjects which leaves many people unhappy and i want to prove that there is nothing wrong studying art subjects and that you should be able to do what makes you happy in life. i want my videos to be a way for escape for people.... a way for hope.
When I just started it was for grins and giggles, with the ultimate goal to show my terrible stuff to at least 1000 people.

That went better than expected, so my new goal is to have somebody like Taylor Swift listening to one of my 'performances'
To have my own uncensored show on TV.
My really big goal that I don't ever it will ever happen is to become a successful director. It is my dream job and with the money that I will make, I will produce several videos for a good cause that will teach and inform people about thigs like bullying, depression, anorexia and other important things.. :)
I'm on YouTube because it's a hobby that I can do at home, by myself, but still feels somewhat social.

...social anxiety ftw

Hi guys! I am so sorry if this comes off as annoying or spammy or like I am hijacking your thread - because I don't mean to :( But I love love love all of your responses and wanted to invite you all to participate in a collab i'm doing - which addresses this exact question: what is your ultimate YouTube goal?

please check out the collab thread, all the details are in there: threads/whats-your-ultimate-yt-goal-big-collab-submit-by-3-31.158514

Again I am really sorry if this somehow breaks the rules or comes off as rude. But I am so inspired by everyone's purpose for being on YouTube and I am happy to see more people sharing their stories :)

okay - carry on! I'm sorry again!

My goals is to use youtube to help hone my comedy and branch it out. I already am a stand up comedian but youtube fascinates me. I want to use youtube get subs build a fan base for he future. Maybe get my comedy going more get into tv production I dunno atm I do youtube for fun and for he joy of creating. :) Since doing youtube my editing and production skills have gone up and I find it fun and my writing (comedy wise) has got stronger I think XD

I want to get more confident and less shy. I've seen youtubers who started as a shy, awkward teenager who I could barely hear in their videos. But they turned into comedians, actors and whatever who always seem so confident and even speak into a crowd of thousands. And thats what I want too, confidence.

Great answer, @TheKKLife :)

I started mine channel because I just came back from Germany (where I have been volunteering for 1 year) and I lost most of friends because they have been fakee bi*ches so i didnt have so much friend, so much support back home, and then i wanted to start finding somebody online and just speaking to my camera and be free there, and every view I was getting like one person which have been speaking with me, and because my dream is to be on youtube and do videos, now I'm planning to get more proffesional and look for more people whihc will stay with me..
