I find facebook groups are pretty good for sharing stuff. You have to find a group relating to your content, but it's how I got started.

I haven't used anything at all! Just put content up on youtube and that's it. Not advertised or promoted anywhere!
I've really missed out! Need to get started on promotion, but struggle to find the time to sit and actually do it at the moment!
