What animation app should I use?

I‘ve been wanting to produce a 2d YouTube animation but I can’t find the right animation app to do it. The animation will feature a simple character (not too simple though) with animated shapes, patterns and surfaces (e.g. like a flying flag). I’m sure software like Blender would be ideal but it seems that it would take years to learn. I’ve looked at different software like Animaker, Filmora and Moovly but have been unable to find anything that’s fairly basic yet will do what I need (most appear to be geared towards producing business presentations).
Does anyone have any advice please? Maybe even recommend a Blender tutorial that covers what I’m looking to do.
