Posting Mad!
I was working with adsense on my older channel until adsense decided to ban me for "invalid clicking"(although I never clicked my ads). So yeah, adsense for me was bad, now i will try to go with a network
I don't think it's as simple as that. I also think a big part of the CPM comes from the kind of content / tags (and therefore the kind of ads) get shown. My second channel keeps increasing in views (slowly, but surely) and the CPM just keeps going up, not down. I think it has to do with the kind of content I have.that's not the case at all, you can't really use stats for a channel that gets low views. But I tried comparing with Wrecklesseating, and he told me that after several tests you earn way more with a network. In the end it doesn't matter all that much what you chose when you're a small channel, since you won't be earning that much anyways. But once the views start rolling in, you will earn much more with a network.
Souce: I'm with a network, I've tried being without one, and I get a substantial amount of views.
Tags and content type are completely irrelvant to cpm, audience retention, and monetisation percentage, also video length are the biggest factors. Unless you have a network selling ads for you nothing else is relevant..I don't think it's as simple as that. Ok I must be a complete idiot. All the years I have worked in marketing, running and analyzing campaigns, and I know nothing about ads and CPM.Tags and content type are completely irrelvant to cpm, audience retention, and monetisation percentage, also video length are the biggest factors. To be fair it's very hard to learn when there's literally no manual, and things change depending on how google want to sell their ads. For comparison I have a 20 minute video which is about 20 dollar CPM, and a 40 second video which is a 1 dollar CPM. When a video gets a lot of views and the audience retention and so on stabilizes, you can easily see the difference.Ok I must be a complete idiot.
