Not sure if it happened or not yet, but video responses on YouTube are either going away or already gone. Whatcha all think about this? I donno if I like it... :(
 
It's sad but youtube changes alot so it was just a matter of time before they removed it. It was too fun.
 
Well I kinda enjoyed it, but yeah, it never really got too much attention and also it took forever for someone to accept it.
 
They are right if they say click through rate was very low, but sometimes it was pretty fun. I just made a new video that was a video response so that's when I needed that option... Might be a good change in the end if they give us something better, if not then :meh2:
 
Only realised today when I noticed the option to allow video responses was no longer there. For me, I won't be missing it as I hardly used it.
 
Well, video responses are known for irrelevant responses, like a gaming video in response to a random popular song/video. Google should have just added a filter where only videos with tags relevant to the video in response to match up with.

Coming from a Youtuber since early 2006, I remember how fun they were for contests and sweepstakes. Sadly, Google has a way to f**k up the littlest of things.

Agreed. I sometimes used video responses. Not much, but enough to miss the feature.
Damn Google.
 
I mostly saw video responses as a way to try and make controlled suggested/related video lists instead of relying on the algo to pop your video up alongside another one like it. Ultimately, since each video could only be a response to one other video at a time, it was a pretty worthless marketing tool. And not very many people used it for what it was actually intended for.

No big loss, IMO. If they go through with the second part of the plan and allow video links in comments, THAT would be epic
