Website designed in a lesson today..

tnx dude i apreciate the advice and i am going to give it a try lol

btw "coding a themplate" ... is that what you just described ?

What he described is designing the site first (pretty text, buttons etc.) and then allowing Dreamweaver to do the coding for you in order to create your site. This is fine and dandy, but I strongly suggest actually learning what you need to know code-wise without allowing a program to do it for you. (Sometimes DW drops some ugly code in that I don't agree with). I don't even use DreamWeaver although people call me crazy. I am on Mac OS X and I use TextWrangler for all of my coding needs, and if I switch to my Windows 7 partition I use Notepad++ (Both of those programs are free; DW is not). Learning HTML shouldn't be too difficult, then learning CSS shouldn't be too hard at all. Those are very linear in terms of what you would like to do (except for certain bugs). If you ever would like me to help you learn to code, I'd be more than happy to teach you some. Just PM me if you'd like some help :D

no I didn't turn it into a template or use a template, I was talking about coding it so that buttons work and everything just works how it needs to work.. if someone else tried to use my website as a template they would get very confused.. my coding it so bad :')

What he did wasn't technically a template, due to the fact that he did not use filler information he actually put his own stuff. A template would be to code the basic layout of the site, and then to add things in the header such as "Site Title Here" "Slogan Here" "Your Logo Here" etc. Templates are usually heavily commented ( '//' '<!-- -->' '/* */') in order to allow people to find and change things quickly because not everyone uses the same layout. What he did was just design the site, and allow DreamWeaver to do most of the coding work, because as he stated, he is more concerned with the look / feel of the site, than the actual coding process. :D Hope this helps ^^

nope I'm a total noob at coding :L
Definitely find that design cool. I'd stay on it. The trick with everything is making it simple/
