Ways to research video idea before making a video

Hey folks, I'm struggling with this question for a while, how do you approach research for video idea to make sure it's unique (considering the fact there's billions of videos on the internet plus they can be in different languages and on different platforms like youtube, facebook, tiktok, twitter, 9gag, etc...).

I wanna get this point right as I think it's important from the copyright aspect to avoid lawsuits and make sure my video won't be substantially similar to another one.

I don't think you can avoid simply sitting down and manually researching this sorta thing. It's best to organize your findings through software such as Notion if you're really into making sure the idea is unique.
