Watermark yay or nay?

If you got facecam I don't think you need a watermark, if someone's stealing your videos, they're most likely a channel that steals other people's so they're likely to shoot themselves in the foot if they have vids from multiple people with facecam. I always have a watermark in my videos: that says "YouTube.com/WOLFWRAITHGAMES" the reason I add the YouTube part is in case they upload it to a different site. I generally use a font size of about 25 give or take 5-10 points and I usually set it to about 25-40% transparancy and I rotate it 45 degrees and place it in a corner somewhere. I try position it in such a way that it's in a spot that isn't used by the game, example in GTA 5 the bottom left corner next to the radar is redundant for viewers so I place it there, although I used to place it in the top right, I also try to position it in a way that if someone tries to crop it out they're likely to ruin the video doing so, if you tried to crop some of my latest GTA Online vids, you'd be croping out a good 3/4 of the radar.[DOUBLEPOST=1409832141,1409831981][/DOUBLEPOST]
If you go under settings and in video programming. You can just upload an image (preferably transparent) and it puts a watermark in the upper right corner. You've probably seen it before on other channels. But the cool part is you can remove it if you don't like it.
That's not really a watermark though, someone can still take the video and the watermark won't be there. I still think YouTube have used an extremely poor choice of words by calling it a watermark, it provides a false sense of security.

I watched a video the other night and the creator would slide in his channel name from the top every minute or so and leave it there for about 5 seconds, then slide it back up.

It was quite transparent and didn't detract from the video at all, I thought this was a good idea...you're still watermarking your video, but not having a constant eyesore every second of the video.

What I'm doing at the moment is sliding my channel banner in from the left after about 5-10 seconds, then sliding it out again after 5 seconds. I did this to replace an intro, but now that I think about it, it also watermarks my vids. If someone were to reupload it and try to edit it out, they'd have to cut the first 15-20 seconds from the video, which would basically destroy it.

Uhm, I won't probably use an image watermark, as it is already in the You Tube settings, but puttimg the URL of my channle in the bottom, may be a good idea.
