watching your old videos and....

Similar feelings here sometimes. There is one video in particular I'd consider to make unlisted but it's magically drawing people in. I am just not sure if I really want it to show up when people look for the "most popular" videos on my channel.

But even better:
Just last week I remembered (yeah, I completely forgot) that I did some YouTube videos yeeeeeears ago on a different channel and with tech topics or whatever. Took me a while to find the channel. It's still there.... OMG... I had a good laugh :D
It's called "cloudyandsocial".... haha...

I do, it’s mostly at the editing on my first few videos that make me really cringe haha but it’s a good thing I think. It helps you see how far you’ve come as a youtuber (or ‘film-maker’ if you want to be pretentious ;)).

I haven’t made any of my old ones private yet, that’s not to say I won’t, one day.

I think everyone feels this way about their past videos.

There's a small (okay, HUGE!) part of me that wants to get really good at video making, and then start a new channel from scratch so that all of my "first" videos on it are really good.

Well don't hold me to this, but I imagine that once I've been doing this for a while, I will probably still leave them up. I love being able to go back to the first videos of YouTubers I like a lot, and see that they were HORRIBLE in the beginning. It would be really cool to think that years from now, if I have a decent amount of subscribers, some of them can go back to my first videos shot in a darn bathroom, realize that it took me time to improve to where I'll be by that point, and be inspired to do what they love too!

Soooo yeah. Delete em or private em if you are embarrassed. But leave em up if you like the idea of inspiring upcoming YouTubers. :thumbsup2:

My first videos on my old channel are awful. Mind you, that's when I FIRST put anything online. Those were the bad years. eee

I've privated my entire first channel from back in the day (07-09). Anything on my main channel now is fair game, but the old channel was just not how I want to be represented on Youtube anymore.

I have videos from 2008 on my old channel, I was about 10 years old back then. Those videos will haunt me forever :( Oh well, at least I can say I've improved since then, as can most of you I assume :)
