WARNING watch who you take advice from

Sweetheart, sweetheart, sweetheart listen, it's beautiful that you want to help others, but first you have to help yourself before you start sharing the advice you hear from others, please listen closely.

Use logic for 1 minute. If I have 5 billion views, and 1 million subscribers and I give out a "tip" on how to get more views and more subscribers, you should run with it right? Because it worked for me????

WRONG

Listen very closely. You should take what I said, listen very closely to what I DIDNT Say, and add your extra experience / flair / ideas. Then apply them, SEE RESULTS then come help others.

Being a tape recorder isn't helpful.

If the tips they were giving you were truly POWERFUL, TRANSPARENT, and the WHOLE truth? There is no way you wouldn't AT MINIMUM HAVE 10% of their views / subscribers. So don't focus on what you're told, focus on what's being left out.
Your videos are almost all about weight loss. I'm not preaching to the sell outs who wanna do the basic blasé that's easy to search so they can get millions of views for being a broken record or appealing to the masses. I share tips that help people who are small and independent who maybe don't know what they're doing and don't want to make cheap videos that are 100% search result guaranteed. I'm helping the people who want to get their unique, original or personal-story content available to people who might not otherwise see it.

You keep talking about people with experience??? What kind of experience do you have??? Choosing the easiest possible video content to grow a sub base on??? That's not what most of us are about. So when you say, "there are people who will intentionally try to mislead you," consider looking in a mirror. Figures never lie, but people do ^u^

Put that in your diet drink and take a swig, "sweetie" <3

Roflmao I really tried to help you, shall I blast you? Naw, but here is what I will do... Expose the truth so you and your clown friend can feel stupid

I experienced an extreme traumatic event in my life as a young girl which caused me to lose self esteem and try to eat and drink my way to happiness. Then I made the decision to love myself and lose weight, did that and posted a video on YouTube about it (after countless other videos I posted). I received FLOODS of comments from people telling me how I helped them and changed their life asking for more help. So I said you know what???????

It's cool that I have experience with losing weight and I hear tips from others about losing weight but I need to... Get educated on the topic (became a certified personal trainer and fitness nutrition specialist) so I can SPEAK from a place of knowledge, experience, ideas and most importantly LOVE. So I give away real TIPS and TRICKS the stuff people don't want you to know. And here I am 7 million views later.

But wait, why would I expect anything less from you than to look at something, judge it, and then share your uneducated, inexperienced opinion, by your own admittance, that's what you do!!!!

P.s you can't preach, you have no congregation Roflmao I'm dead

Btw I rank for ANYTHING I talk about wether YouTube tips, my traumatic story, etc. because when you know why you're doing? You can talk about ANYTHING and get search traffic. I like so many small youtubers I've encountered on here I really do, you? You're not small, you're minuscule, barely visible and you're giving "helpful" advice to them? roflmao please anyone who took anything this clown has ever said seriously? Redo it! Roflmao

You still have no place to call the rest of us uneducated or unqualified. This is a forum, not a guidebook. We're all here on a journey, and we share what we learn. That's like telling your friend they can't talk about Harry Potter from a knowing standpoint because they only watched the movies and never read the book. That person still knows enough! You're discrediting everything we do. You think you know so much, but clearly, you still know so little. We're all still learning.

And no, you're absolutely wrong about sharing other people's experience. I learned from them, and what I learned helped me. By that light, what I learned from them can help other people. So I share that. That then helps other people.

I'm sorry you went through a place of hardship, and I'm sorry for having judged you without looking into that. I've been through a lot myself, so I know a little something about hardship. But I stand by my point that your videos are a specific genre not related to what a lot of us are doing. Those videos have earned you your success, but in way that IS cheap and easy. Your qualification is separate from the information most of us are sharing, and you have no place to judge the rest of us and what we're doing.

And regarding your comment on preaching:
Though I may no longer practice the craft, I'm an ordained Wiccan priest, so yes, I can preach! However, the word preach is not a word held solely for religious clergy. Its definition has evolved to allow usage similar to the word "to profess." So even if I were not a priest, I could still "preach."

I've been combing through a lot of threads on here and I've come across a few posts of people giving misleading, incorrect information on how to do etc.

Please consider the source before you take their advice

I literally read about people being on the right track and then someone comes along and makes a suggestion / correction that sets them back on their path to success by possible YEARS.

Before you take SEO advice from anyone, check their rankings for the videos they have posted, not one, a few!

Editing advice for more views? Ask for a screen capture of their audience retention for that video.

Shout outs to all the Social media marketing geniuses who are giving tips on how to "blow up" on Instagram and Twitter yet they have less than 100 followers 0_o

In all seriousness please consider the source. It's sad to see some of you who are really working hard and on the right path completely turn around and go a different direction because of someone who had no clue themselves accidentally or purposely misleading you.

Depends on the niche they are working in. Weight loss is a HUGE niche so if you are getting some of the basics right you can get a bigger following quickly. Vlogging about life stories and such is going to be a much smaller niche and hard to break out into. Even if they are doing EVERYTHING right, they aren't going to grow as fast as someone in a more widely searched niche. Judging knowledge solely on their current viewership or following isn't always the right way to go. It's like judging someone's life knowledge based on education and if there is a paper degree they have hung up. I'm sure there are PLENTY of people that know WAY more about life than me, but don't have a degree. Should I look at their advice as useless crap?

This guy knows how to be diplomatic and nice but also informative.
Thank you for basically saying what I wanted to say in a way that's like... really nice.
Now I feel like a turd -_- :poop:

You still have no place to call the rest of us uneducated or unqualified. You think you know so much, but clearly, you still know so little.

Let me be very CLEAR. Not calling "the rest of you" anything. I'm specifically speaking to those who are giving instruction on the proper way to do things when they are not successful themselves. I know so little? lol I know a lot, but once again do not take my word for it, peep my numbers. remember once again liars often figure but figures never lie

And no, you're absolutely wrong about sharing other people's experience. I learned from them, and what I learned helped me. By that light, what I learned from them can help other people. So I share that. That then helps other people.

What you learned helped you? really? Where? Again liars often figure but figures never lie
You can't share someone else's experience because you do not truly know what they experienced. I am really trying to help you, not trying to hurt you so listen closely again.
ITS NOT ABOUT WHAT THEY TELL YOU, ITS ABOUT WHAT THEY ARE NOT TELLING YOU

Listen to the tips they give, but listen to what they are NOT saying even closer, THAT is what will truly help you and others!

But I stand by my point that your videos are a specific genre not related to what a lot of us are doing. Those videos have earned you your success, but in way that IS cheap and easy. Your qualification is separate from the information most of us are sharing, and you have no place to judge the rest of us and what we're doing.

This statement is one of the most foolish things I have EVER heard. With my genre being as popular as it is guess what genius.... THAT MEANS IT IS ALSO ONE OF THE HARDEST TO DOMINATE!!!!!
I DOMINATE my genre. There is nothing cheap or easy about being a gold fish, entering a shark tank and taking home dinner every night instead of becoming dinner. Once again I'm not judging "us" I am judging people like you who give misinformation when they have no idea what the h#$% they are talking about.

Lets use for example knitting. EVERYBODY is not talking about knitting, you have hardly no competition, but STILL cant dominate your niche, I find you NOWHERE in the search why is that? because you're not putting in the hard work and effort. Yet they feel they should come here and give "the right way to use tags" OMG roflmao its so hilarious but yet sad because I see people taking this advice.

Sweetheart, are you serious? Literally I meant you can not preach as in, you are not qualified to give these tips / advice because you don't have a congregation meaning no viewers or subscribers, get the joke? So, nobody should listen. That's all, get it? If not, it was funny to me roflmao

LAST but not least. I find things like this extremely disheartening and it makes me want to stop trying to help others by giving REAL HELPFUL youtube tips. I literally am an OG to yttalk and I have not been on in years. I decided to come back and give back especially because people KNOW where I came from and where I am now. Instead, people want to argue with my help? lol it's truly sad. and this mentality will get you nowhere fast. Good Luck , no more time from me[DOUBLEPOST=1439225317,1439224739][/DOUBLEPOST]

Saying you are going to automatically do better by getting some of the basics right is a complete lie, trust me I know.

As I said, its not based solely on education. It is based on Experience, hard work, effort, energy and MOST IMPORTANTLY results!!!

Even if your niche isn't widely searched, you can still have an incredible amount of views / subscribers and should if you think you're going to give advice.

This is the problem with our society:

You have single people giving people advice on how to have a "successful relationship" and people in relationships take it and it will fail - because the person giving advice only has EDUCATION behind them
You have people who are giving people advice on "how to become rich" When they are poor and living paycheck to paycheck and it will fail - because the person giving advice only has IDEAS behind them
You have people giving weight loss advice who have lost weight but no education backing them and it will fail - Because they person only has EXPERIENCE behind them

So who should you listen to?

You should take something from each and figure out what they are not telling you (maybe because they do not actually know it) or NONE of them and Listen to the person who has all three because THEY are qualified to speak about the topic
