Hi there so for a little while ive been thinking about starting a gaming channel as i enjoy games and youtube and thought why not i, i tryied recording some gamplay with my Dslr to start with more to practice and see how i found doing lets plays but i am dissapointed qith the quallity of the recordings what would you guys recomend for someone who wants to get started with lets plays

I already vlog on my main channel so i have something to record my face (Dslr) and i have a Blue Snowball microphone im just a little stuck on capture cards i will be playing on mostly PS3 any suggestions?

P.s i want somthing relativly affordable at the momment in case i change my mind say in the price range of 0-70 pounds? (Britsh currency or British pounds sterling)

I have only ever used the Elgato for my recording.

Software is easy to use and at one click of a button you are recording, you can upload to youtube straight after editing, or you can live cast straight to youtube or twitch.

Never had any others hence why my opinion is biased. Look at a few reviews on Youtube to make up your mind :)

Oh i paid 70 quid from maplins for my elgato

OMG I MISS YOU I HAVENT HEARD FROM YOU IN FOREVER! I think you should go for it and I'm sure there are cheap capture cards at like Radio Shack and stuff.

Elgato but there's 2 versions, the Game Capture HD and Game Capture HD60, HD comes with an adapter to record PS3 and older consoles. HD60 supports 60fps and is the newer model, works better with PS4/XOne (supposedly) but no adapter for the PS3, you'll need a HDMI splitter to bypass the HDCP if you use the HD60. Either way I'd recommend Elgato, they're not perfect but better and more affordable than other brands.

Iv'e only ever used the ElgatoHD as well and I can say that it's so easy to use and record your videos with.
Literally one click of a button and its all done and rendered for you, definitely recommend it.

I have an elgato and I can say it is the best capture card I have ever brought. You have two options for this, if you want to record older consoles such as ps3 then get the first elgato capture card if not and what to do PS4 or Xbox One then go for the second one the HD60 version. It`s so easy to use I cannot say enough good about it really lol
