You're a moderator and he's a newbie.
I'm not sure how it works around here, but generally on forums people look to moderators for guidance and fear being banned by them.
If you are this harsh with a newbie, they might fear being banned just for asking for help.
This defeats the purpose of the forums and reduces the amount of people who want to be on the forum.
