W-9 Form help!

Loving YTtalk
So on the W-9 tax form there is a question that says:
"Check appropriate box for federal tax classification:
-individual/sole proprietor
- C coporation
- Partnership
- Trust/ Estate
-Limited Liability Company
- Other"

I think I should put individual, right? since my youtube channel is my "job" and i'm an
"individual", which makes me sole proprietor....yes?
Lol, sorry if this is a dumb question. I just don't want to mess with the IRS :cautious2:

What about partnership? You don't get 100% of the profits remember? I'm not sure how that works though, I usually pay some person in a suit to do my taxes, and that's me just assuming they're an accountant because they're wearing a suit.

lol, well it looks like I've already hit my first bump in the road. This is the form that networks give you when you first want sign up/apply with them.

Use individual/sole proprietorship. Partnerships are meant for if your channel is owned by more than one person where you split the revenue. A partnership from a network has nothing to do with partnership on tax forms. The partnership with a network has no meaning at all to the IRS since you're considered an independent contractor when you get paid via a network.

Thank you so much for clearing that up! :D
