Something that can really increase the amount of people asking for your voice over skills is a demo reel. I posted it on Yttalk here and over on the Voice Acting Alliance and I've been swamped with requests. Been getting at least one every day for the past 2 weeks now.

There's a difference between a character demo reel and a commercial demo reel.
Character one is you portraying all the voices you can do and your dramatic talent.

Commercial is you showing how you can speak clearly and normally with enough conviction to make a good advert.

In any case, try making a demo reel by re-recording lines you can make yourself. Don't EVER do impressions of known characters. People want to hear you, not your impressions (even though it can be impressive).
Try and also follow the editing structure. Have music in the background that's not overbearing, but suits the line.

For me it was different because I just cut and pasted lines from things I had already done, and if you have done stuff in the past, put that in as well.
Always front load, put your best stuff first.
