Vloggers Promoting One Another?

I have seen vloggers who give shout outs and promote other vloggers on their channels, does this actually help? I personally would like to do this with some vloggers that I enjoy, but I also want to make sure that this benefits both channels. :)
 
Yes I think it work... Give it a short shoutout, even if 1 out of 1000 viewers will act on that.

People also get to think you are being nice for the shoutout. So it's a winwin.

The only losing situation I would think of is you shoutout and talk about that person for 5 minutes or something :D So people get bored and close your vid :P
 
It does work, when I watch Bart baker's video, in the end he does a SHOUTOUT for others for helping him, but I don't visit their links, after watching so many of his videos finally I gave a try to his shoutout! haha!
It works but lesser chance :D
 
I noticed that people who does this weekly, people only sub to the "winner" hoping to get a shoutout, and leave if they didn´t get it, or leave when they get the shoutout!

Really? Thats sad. You should only subscribe if you like a channel. I would only do the promo as a suggestion of who to check out if they like my videos.[DOUBLEPOST=1424798994,1424798759][/DOUBLEPOST]I wasn't going to do like a contest to promote... I just wanted to meet other vloggers who we enjoy each other so we want to help each other out you know?
 
I guess it could work.. I guess it all depends on who's giving the shout out and why.

If someone genuinely likes the content they are giving the shout out for, then I would imagine it would help out.
 
I agree with some previous posts, if you make a contest out of it, the second a winner is announced all the people who didn't win will leave. But if you just randomly select someones channel you like and give it a shout, then people will see you're a nice person who is actually connected with the community! Best of luck :)
