Views vs Subs vs Comments vs Likes

Which is more important on Youtube?

I love me some comments. I'm only starting out, and comments make me feel like I'm actually beginning to connect with some people!

I voted subs, but not just any subs. Active subscribers :) I just realized after I voted that you could vote for more than one, and I would of done comments/likes as well, since those add to the active subscribers haha.

Views don't bother me that much. As long as I have active subscribers, I don't care if I have 100 views or 100,000 views.

I would rank them in this order:

1. Views. Views determine how much you earn/get paid. It's also the metric used for determining contracts by networks. If you happen to make enough to cover expenses and turn a profit, reinvestment back into your channel can make a huge difference.
2. Subscribers. Subscribers are only important because it's how others see your channel. It's the basis for determining who will collaborate with you-and collaboration is the key to growing your channel. You also get rewards from youtube at the 100k and 1 million sub mark.
3. Comments. Comments are one of the best ways to turn viewers into fans. It's how you connect with them on a personal level so they become invested your channel.
4. Likes. Not terribly important unless you depend on them to rank higher in searches. There's a ton of viral videos with a ton more dislikes than likes, so you can succeed without likes.
