I don't know what is going on with everyone else but channel is going crazy for no reason. Take a look at this graph.
You can see that after the regular Christmas ad craze my revenue dropped way down, and stayed pretty much stagnant until about the beginning of August and then started to climb almost straight up. During the month of August I was on the road traveling and did absolutely nothing to my channel. So whatever caused this, had nothing to do with anything I did.
Personally, I think that youtube is tweaking the system to better target viewers. I don't know the exact term for it, but basically, youtube tries to figure out what you like and suggest that to you. I know in the past youtube sucked at this because it never suggested anything I wanted to see. Maybe they are getting better at this, and this is resulting in more of my videos getting suggested to people that actually want to watch them. I don't know, but something is going on.
