I know it's stressful just waiting but I advice people to give it a year.
It seems like most of the really successful Youtubers saw results much quicker than 1 year, no? That seems like an awfully long time to wait around hoping something good will happen. The problem with advising them to wait that long (even if it is ultimately good advice) is that too many Youtubers don't realize quick enough (or ever) that their content is simply not good enough and will end up killing a year of their life. In my opinion this is one of the underrated top reasons that some guys never succeed. You absolutely have to realize when your content/idea isn't as good as you think it is so you can abandon the channel/idea altogether and start something new. I hear guys talking about how they have been working at their channel for 3 years and have less than 10k views (or less than 1k sometimes even) and I just wonder what they're thinking.

Wow. My whole life has been a lie. I just don't know what to believe anymore. And it's funny how you just throw that in there like it's not supposed to be a big deal and we shouldn't be bothered by it, but you know what? It is a big deal and I am bothered by it. I watched those videos and laughed and laughed, and they were legitimate laughs, not lazy, prerecorded laughs. Real friggin laughs. When I watch something on Youtube I naturally expect it to be real. You're presenting something to your fans one way while something else is happening entirely. It's not only disingenuous, it's downright deceitful. You don't see Fart King, The Fart and Burp Show, or State of the Fart pulling stunts like this do you? You know why? Because they have a little something called integrity.

You say they were real farts? No...they were lies.

I know that feel man, but I think it's better to know the truth than to live your life blind. That's just how it is. You see, originally the channel was not about farting, it was something totally different. Then I got the idea to do farting videos, so I deleted everything, and re-branded, using some of the older videos to add meat to the channel.

The point of that water bottle fart video was to show that the farts will be real, I was hoping to get a ripple effect in the water, that's why I'm only wearing underwear in it. But no matter how much I tried, I just couldn't get it, I think the angle at which I fart simply doesn't go into the bottle, plus the farts aren't that strong. If you notice I have my back facing the camera. Originally, I was facing sideways, and after many many takes, I got one good fart, but no ripples. I was getting ready to wrap it up when I noticed that you could see my nuts through the leg opening in the underwear. I had to restart the whole thing this time facing away from the camera. It took many more tries to finally get one. Maybe I should have just blurred the exposed parts and uploaded that.

I think the only way to show that the farts are real is to get a pan, fill it with water, blow a good fart into it, and see if the water reacts to it at all. Angle shouldn't be a problem here.

I love how serious all of your posts are on here lol. Completely serious, deadpan delivery. I dig it. Good stuff. Not sure if you're really this serious about it or just being funny. Either way it's funny.

I don't understand the obsession with subscribers. Ray William Johnson has 10 M subscribers but his videos only have around 500 K views.

His channel is much much different than it was at the height of its popularity in 2012 when he had the most views of any channel. He isn't even on the channel anymore, so it isn't surprising that his videos do not do as well compared to the number of subs he has.

There are two main types of channels now on YouTube:

- high throughput searches hijackers - (almost 0 personal interaction with subs)
- fen based channels (subs obviously very important)

Of course the vast majority of channels are somewhere in between. It is entirely up to you to which type to adhere mainly. But if you rely too much on search hijacking techniques your channel could be too shaky/unstable in the future (personal opinion).

My point remains. I know a lot of channels that don't get not even 5% of the subscribers per view.

It doesn't really work the other way around. You don't start with some crazy fans and end up with a ton of views. You get a ton of views and end up with a few subs

No, it doesn't necessarily work that way. Maybe 4 years ago, but YT is so crowded now, small channels don't get into search results. You need the initial crazy subs.

AND, You're all saying channels have more viewers than Subs????
No way. Every channel I ever saw has 3,4,5,6,7 TIMES more subs than viewers. (aside from "general" channels like animal videos ppl don't usually sub to, but many people stumble on.

I've been making great videos. That doesn't work, because I'm small and invisible.
