Views or Subs?

Most definitely views, if you have 2000 subs and 0 views that means you've got inactive subs, and that hurts you in ranking. but if you have vice versa you will only go up. Subs are good to have if they are active but if they are inactive it just hurts your channel so you definitely want to have a higher view to sub ration.

What do you think is more important to you personally? The views or the subscribers?
To me, views are your score, and subs are your scoring potential. Views show what you have accomplished and are the overall measure of your channel's ultimate goal: to be watched. A channel with billions of views and only 3 subs still got watched the most. That is unless your goal is to be liked and not necessarily be popular... Then subs would probably be better.

All I care about is people being interested enough to come back, watch more, and interact in the comments. I don't really care about the numbers, strictly. For example, if someone watches all my videos, but bookmarked my channel instead of subscribing, that's totally fine with me. People can consume the content however they want, and they shouldn't feel bad for not subscribing or following the way it's 'meant' to be consumed, you know? In fact, I know there's a few people that follow me on Twitter/Facebook who don't feel compelled to sub because I post all my videos on there anyway.

Consistent viewership is ideal. Doesn't matter how they get there, though.

Subs, because every sub is someone who cares about your content enough to have clicked the subscribe button, whereas it doesn't take much commitment just to view a video.
Of course, views are great too.

You need both in order to do something with the space but the subscriber is a living, breathing human being who is supporting you... so I lean in that direction.

They are both quite important so it's hard to choose...
I'd say views since that means people/viewers/subbies are actually watching your content!
It would be weird if you had heaps of subs but not as many views on your vids, which probably means you sub4sub haha in most cases anyway.

Subscribers - One of my first videos got quite a lot of views (over 10k) but netted very few subscribers - this is because it was embedded on mashable.com and people didn't click through. But in reality I think we all want lots of both.
