Views on videos

Bear in mind my channel is new.

So I uploaded a new video the day before yesterday, and in the first 28 hours it's gained 117 views and I got around 8 subscribers. Which of course is fantastic. However, in the past 12 hours it hasn't got a view.

How does YouTube advertise your videos? Does it recommend your videos or the first 28 hours?
 
I think a large part of it has to do with SEO (SEARCH ENGINE OPTIMIZATION).

When you upload your video and title it efficiently and add the most optimal tags, your video can really bounce into YouTube's algorithm and search engine when it's initially uploaded and gain some traffic. :) However, once the "hype" goes down, that's why you probably notice some slower growth.
 
I've always wondered if its a good idea to upload at a certain time of the day. I've heard rumors that 3:00 P.M eastern is the best time, I'm not sure.
 
You'll never guess! I fell asleep and over night I now have 250 views on the video, with 11 likes and a bunch of comments and now I have 14 subscribers :) well I couldn't be more chuffed.

It does make you think that if you put the effort in it will pay off!

Just watched your videos. I' not a gamer myself but I enjoyed your commentary. It would be helpful if you could raise the volume on your voice a little bit. Sometimes it's kinda hard to understand waht you're saying. Still, good stuf.Keep it up! ;)
 
Congrats on your video's success! It seems that the two you did about that subject did well, so I'd say making sure you're covering the things that are trending when you're uploading, and that's a great way to get more views and shares and the like.

The best way to get your videos out there is by adding your tags in . This generates more viewers as it will search up. It's natural for this to happen just make sure you add the right tags in (you can check by searching stuff in the search engine for YouTube)
