Video upload to youtube

Hello forumers!
If there's let's say a video on an other video sharing site, example on Vimeo, witch is still don't uploaded to youtube, i can upload it to youtube or to any video sharing websites without copyright 3rd party content id or stg like that? (i ask if youtube looks at the video witch i made but i downloaded it from another video sharing site). I'm really unsure about that thing.

@YouTubeFan - I have put your thread back. Please stop abusing the edit post feature. It is there to correct spelling mistakes and make minor corrections - not to completely delete a post.

I don't think the YT bots go through other sites to catch copyright.
However, legally if it's not your work than the IP owner can come after you. If it's your own work you can do what you like with it.
If it is your work and YouTube does somehow ID it you should be able to appeal it.
