Video Thumbnail Won't Change

I changed the thumbnails in a series I'm running because of some advice I read, but there's one specific video (the first one in the series) that the thumbnail won't change. When I look up the video in my Video Manager it has the new, updated thumbnail. But if I look for it in the Video section of my channel, the playlist it's in, or in the video search, it has the old thumbnail. Any idea why this is?

All the other thumbnails were changed instantly though. But okay, I'll give it two more weeks (that's when it'll reach four weeks since I changed it) and see what happens. Thanks.

I don't know about taking weeks for it to change. But it can take days for some, while others just change almost change instantly. It makes no sense, but it is what it is.

Maybe try logging out of your account and then logging back in again & see if it changes, let me know how you go

I've switched accounts multiple times because I have another channel with another e-mail. Does that count as logging out then back in?

Did you clear your browser cache? Some things on YouTube get cached on your side and the changes don't register visually on your screen even if they've happened already. Like changing avatars and whatnot.

This same thing happened to me. It's infuriating but will fix over time.

If I remember correctly it DID show up corrected on the creator studios app. But nowhere else. I think it took 2-4 weeks.

Okay, perfect, it must be that! I just checked on a different browser (hadn't even thought of doing that) and it showed up with the new thumbnail. Thank you!

Yeah I think it has to do with your profile. For some reason because it has already loaded with the previous thumbnail it won't load others.

When mine had the problem others told me they didn't see the incorrect thumbnail.
