Video responses are officially gone.

Apparently they weren't getting enough clicks, so they got rid of them all together. Now there will be links you can put in comments. I sense a lot of spam in the future.

Yeah, that's what YT claims. I had a video as a video response to a popular video. My view count went from about 50-100 views to basically 1-2 views per day. Oh, so no one views video responses???? 50-100 views a day is a lot so I guess that a lot of people viewed video responses. My video responses were related to the video topic I responded to. I often viewed other video responses if the topics were related so YT's claim that basically no one used it is complete BS.[DOUBLEPOST=1379149925,1379149767][/DOUBLEPOST]
The same could be said about YouTubers themselves...

The difference is that most Youtubers make peanuts. Maybe 'Ray William whats his face' makes a fortune but the rest of us don't. The time and effort most put into their videos in not even close to what they make.
I'm a professional animator. The money I make in animation in a couple of hours with my regular animation job is more than I made on YT with all my animated shorts I did for YT in 2 years but the work I do for YT takes much more effort.

:eeks:Blimey! I never used video responses but i can understand where people are coming from because now all it`s going to be is links and more links.:(

I kinda miss it already and i had yesterday a few Moments where wanted to create a Video Response and had to remember myself that it got removed since earlier this Week.

It sucks- I just hope that they'll introduce a way of moderating comments with linked videos in them before they are approved as public. There's already millions of advertising comments on the popular YouTubers videos (which is really annoying when you're trying to read through the comments!) but to see a load of videos in the comments instead will just be rawr. I can imagine that people posting their videos in comments would be just as annoying for those YouTubers themselves. Spam, spam, spam.

I am a small YouTuber, I don't want to have a lot of subs (it would be nice though) I need an alternative way to show others my videos. It is going to get harder and harder since the same names of YouTubers who don't even bother sticking to uploading when they say and they earn a bomb from doing so. I enjoy some of these YouTubers, but once they all get more subscribers. People will want to follow other people as they only watch the big YouTubers and no one will be there, because we all had to find somewhere else to upload videos because we don't get watched.
