Video quality must precede success

I totally agree with all of the points you made. I still have my first videos up on my channel so it is great to sometimes revisit and see how far I have gone, and it reminds me that I should never stop improving. I mean, you could have a good idea for a video but that does not necessarily grant you success. On the other hand, if you also have a great execution.. Now that would make a video that people might want to share around. :thumbsup2:

I agree with this too. However it sometimes is a little hard when you need people or equipment you can't get at the time. But yes everyone can improve themselves all the time. Luckily I am willing to put in the work myself so I will keep improving myself and I think most people here will.

I was listening to an Audio book the other day and there was actually a section about this. It targeted those who point at the overnight success stories. Yes most people work for a long time and gradually grow to where they are today. But some do get lucky and get the growth overnight. However, even these people who blew up really quickly still spent hours upon hours practicing their craft, learning and bettering themselves to be able to make the content they do now to become that over night success lol.

So moral to the story is just as you said xD Work work and never give up. Then work some more.

I know the feeling xD

The most popular channels aren´t always the better ones, so i´d say luck, timing and good marketing skills play a big role on everybody´s success.

I somewhat disagree. You need good quality videos only to reach the top 5-10% of your niche. The problem is that even in this top 5 -10% there are hundreds if not thousands of good quality videos/channels. Here secondary factors start to be more important - sometimes this is really extraordinary quality and sometimes it is just a combination of decent quality and simple tricks/cheats to boost audience retention and watch time. As a result the top channels are a mix of really good and so so good quality content. These are at least my impressions.

I kinda agree and disagree at the same time - it all depends on how you define quality ;D
