Video quality after upload ?

Hello. After uploading my video, it looks way more crappy and low quality . Any ideas how to keep the original quality ? tx
 
I've noticed this too. However, if I give it about 30 minutes or so YouTube will usually get the video completely processed behind the scenes (meaning they aren't really telling you they are still processing) and then the video plays on all the different qualities that my recording device allowed. Usually, it starts off only allowing me to do 360p but when I return to the video I am able to view my video at 1080p HD. I've almost deleted videos because I thought the first upload had failed. I am glad that I didn't do that!
