Video Getting Popular for Random Reasons?

I want to hear your guy's stories about a video of yours getting popular/views for a weird reason.

For me, I wrote a song called "Survive the Night" and uploaded it in February of last year. It started getting a lot of plays on YouTube because there was a very popular (5+ million views) song called "Survive the Night" uploaded in November about Five Nights at Freddy's. When people searched for that song, they would also pull up my song in the search results. :p Even on SoundCloud, I had put up a 1 minute snippet of the song (in 2013) and it now has over 200 plays and 58 downloads. Literally it is a 1 minute, bad quality, snippet of the song. Weird!
 
I have a video called "I Wet My Pants" which was uploaded back in July 2011. Its not about what you think by the way, it was me vlogging on a school trip to see a super scary stage show called The Woman In Black, hence why I titled the video "I Wet My Pants". The video has almost 30,000 views and to this day I still wonder why I gained so many views on this video alone as opposed to my other vlogs

Haha, I feel like there is that weird section of YouTube that searches for stuff like that :p
 
Yeah, same thing happened to me.
I had a video on my old channel that I put together called "Barack Obama sings the Pokemon Theme Song" and it had ~30k views, then barackdubs, a much bigger channel, made their version of the exact same video 2 years later, which got 5 million views and mine got to 100k now..
 
On my old channel I made a video of me rolling a watermelon around for 10 seconds and nothing else and it got over 1000 views. Of course half of those views were probably me, but still. I also made a video of my brother tied to a chair titled my very strange brother and it has 25,000 views. And I don't know why. I've been on YouTube since 2008 and this is the most views I've ever gotten on a video. And if you want to see these videos they are on a channel called CoolMoo5.
 
I have a video titled "Let's Play World of Warcraft with Kleineganz - Death Knight Episode 1" that I filmed back when Mists of Panderia first launched. It was a super casual game play and I didn't put much effort into it, and honestly never made very many episodes at all. Yet that one video has gotten over 4,600 views to date. At one point it was my top video every month, getting 200-300 views/month (which for me is huge). Not sure why so many people went to watch it, but clearly they were disappointed in the content because most drop out after the first minute.
 
I have had my mustang car review video start to pick up views all of a sudden, and it is not slowing down much. I believe it will become my best viewed video eventually.

Gurl~ you're so talented! Nice singing!

Sometimes uploading youtube videos is like lottery... sometimes you get hit sometimes you don't
For me.. I don't get so lucky yet... May or may not happen.. but just do what we love to do right?

I much dislike my most popular video iOS games on PS Vita. It's not a well made video, it's poorly edited and apparently rendered badly because it lags after a new clip for a few seconds, in other words I was such a video newbie. But since I uploaded about June 2014 it has 8000 views and growing, it's slowed a bit lately. Funny related story, it got quite a few dislikes early on and I didn't know why (I was thinking because of the crappy editing) but then someone left a comment saying people are thinking it is iOS games on PS Vita some type of hacking, so I added "using LBP" in the title and dislikes slowed lol. (FWIW LBP stands for Little Big Planet) It's going to reach 10,000 views in less than a year published which is awesome and bittersweet.
