I wouldn't recommend going for free video editors. Typically the end product never comes out how you would like it to.

Typically, I would say to put some money into your editor for the best results. Learning curves suck but it's much better than low quality on free editors.

Otherwise I really can't recommend any.

Sorry :c

Video editors are really expensive. Plus i'm still trying to get used to editing. But thanks though. :)

If you are looking for a good and free editor, I would suggest downloading the Vista or XP version of windows movie maker. Best one by far. It offers timelines and has a very similar set up to Vegas and Premiere.
Otherwise, if you are looking for video editors. There aren't many really good ones and you'll have to stick with Windows 7 moviemaker or Imovie.
Besides, if you take your time with editing, editing stuff with the free stuff can turn out really well! Especially if you are just making vlogs or very simple skits.

If you are looking to go the extra mile and get some of the higher up stuff, then you have these to choose from:

Vegas (cheapest and most standard for Youtube editors)
Final Cut Pro X (or Final Cut Express if you can get your hands on a non updated copy)
Premiere (most expensive, but links in with all other Adobe software and is industry standard. Very useful if you are going to be working in after effects a lot alongside Premiere)

Either way, I wish you the best of luck :-)

I haven't settled on one editor yet because im going off free ones too
I just don't have the money to put into an editor yet

Lightworks
EDIT: I just realised there is very little you can do without the pro version

I use iMovie for my basic editing it's really good. But I also use Final Cut Pro X, but if you have a Mac totally try out iMovie.
