Video editor?

There is really no good free video editing software other than iMovie if you are on Mac also try "Lightworks" I think it's free but not that good for a good program and not very expensive buy Adobe premiere elements, Camtasia Studio 8 is also great and you can have a free trial.

This is a very common question here in the forum. It is a basic consensus that there are no "good" free editors unless you torrent of course. If you are looking for good editors the main recommendations will be Sony Vegas and Adobe Premiere. I have used both personally and I absolutely love Adobe Premiere
 
I believe the "smoke" editing software is free for students. And apparently its really good :-)
