So I have yet to edit a single video I have uploaded. As I film all my videos on my at the moment, could any one help me with a few things.
How to transfer videos from your iphone to your laptop
And a great video editor app or site ( preferably free )
I am hoping better edited videos will increase my views and quality of uploads
Any suggestions welcomed

Well for someone who hasn't edited any videos yet you sure can make do with an Iphone.

I would recommend Sony Vegas Pro 12. Personally my favorite editing software, though it isn't free. I just happened to be lucky enough to have a friend who has bought it prior and doesn't use it. So he handed it over to me.

Sony Vegas is really good for starting to learn how to edit, and for the more complicated editing later on.

To transfer your videos from your iPhone to your PC, just use the USB to Thunderbolt cable and use iTunes to get them over to your PC.

As suggested Vegas 12, if you're unlucky unlike me and @Super Pawsitive and don't have a friend that can give you a copy then there are allot of free alternatives out there, here's a list made by @Michael that lists some good commercial and free Editors.

On the note of the video editor app or .exe
If you want to do edit but have some changes of freedom, then you should use "Windows Movie Maker"
But for professional edits your going to have to put in SOME mula

What do you mean didn't work for you? Are you refering to copying your files from an iDevice or recording/editing? If the latter, iTunes is simply an Media Player and a way to access and put apps and media onto your iDevice, it's not an editor or recording program.

What kind of issue are you getting with copying and does your iPhone/iPod/iPad show up in iTunes?

Also make sure you're not using a cheap cable, I bought one off ebay and it didn't work at all, not even to charge the device.

Are you using a computer? I think that the best way to edit videos is through Sony Vegas Pro 12. It's a great application that has helped me a lot. Even though I deleted most of my videos, the edits on them were amazing. Sony Vegas has a ton of features, like A TON. But it's not so many that you will get lost easily. You can look up a video on youtube for a tutorial on how to use the basic features, like put text, music, effects, and things like that. Once you get the hang of that, you can look up another video that will show you how to do even more things. The application Sony Vegas is not free, and it's rather expensive. But there are vdeos out there on how to get it for free. It's all legit, as I got my copy for free, no survey no nothing. I'd say it's the way to go, you should try it.
