Hey guys and girls! I have a question for you, what video editing soft where do you use?

I used to use Sony Vegas but moved to Premiere Pro. It's got a steeper learning curve but you get way more control over the editing. Plus there's After Effects compatibility.

Render times are great as well

Sony Movie Studio Platinum Suite 12. I'm sure it works just as well as Sony Vegas minus some features I will probably never use anyways. The original price is about $130-140, but I got it on sale for $20.

Adobe Premiere Pro, a much better editor in comparison to Sony Vegas. I used Vegas for roughly two years until I made the jump to premiere. The jump was super simple, I know how to use all the tools, editing is a lot smoother, playback is better, and overall a much better editing experience.

I use Cyberlink PowerDirector Director's Suite 11 (I think the latest version is 13 or 14). If you are a student you get an awesome discount... It's pretty easy to use but it really slows your computer down when you add any effects.

My uni insist I use Avid, so sadly I use Avid for all their projects, and Premiere for all personal projects.

Moved from Vegas Pro to Premiere Pro. The move went quite smoothly. And I love PP's export queue function!

I would recommend imovie, Camtasia, Final Cut Pro or After Effects.
