I sometimes get really motivated to make a video and I get all set up and then have nothing to talk about.
I do write topics down but when ever I look over them I always find them really lame and I just wanted to know you have any tips to get out of this 'rut'
 
Video Creators has a good video about this: I try to go outside and get some fresh air, or do something completely different and then come back with a fresh mindset.

Drink a cup of coffee, and you can turn any lame idea into a great thing.

Just kidding. Definitely take a break and maybe do the one thing that makes you think a lot, and see if you can come up with anything else.
 
Yeah I'm having a video block today myself. I can't think of anything really good to rant about that I haven't already covered on my channel ...
 
Honestly, when I try to come up with ideas I get nothing. But, I'll just be randomly doing something later and a funny thought pops into my head, then BAM idea for my next video. Or I ask people for ideas, but I end up using theirs and developing it into a whole other concept.
 
You aren't the only one. Don't worry, it'll come to you. You just have to work through it.
Something I do is carry a little notebook around so that when I have an idea, I can call back to it later on. Its like having a little idea book. seriously, I have so many now that I call back to it once in a while and I find an idea I completely forgot about :-)
 
Take a walk, the motion of walking stimulates the creative part of the brain giving you ideas, scientifically proved :)
