VidCon 2014 - How was it?

Let's all meet at VidCon 2015! New life goal!

I would likely attend again. It's just a matter of whether I want to pay for the Industry Pass or not. This is my second year for the Industry Pass and both times, there was something that made it worth my money. On one hand, it solidifies that the path for most channels isn't the same direction for my channel. Being involved with networks and sponsorships two such topics that have minimal value to me.

What was excellent for me were the panels that talked about building our own studios, merchandising and licensing.

For the Community Pass, there are quite a few panels that were entertaining to attend. It's also great to walk around downstairs and see popular YouTubers taking the time to take pics with fans. I seen a lot of young ladies who were having a great time and most were respectful. They stood in lines to wait their turn. Mind you, I couldn't tell you who they were standing in line to see because I'm not that teenage demographic =)

Are videos or transcripts of the panels ever made available anywhere? That seems to be very difficult to find.

There was one about how to make a sustainable living on YT that I would be interested in seeing or hearing about if anyone went to that or knows if there is a video posted somewhere.

I don't believe that there is an official depository for videos from the event. I doubt Vidcon would provide them because the event exists because of the money people spend to attend. I don't know if you tried but if you search Vidcon 2014 on YouTube, you can find some videos.

I recorded audio of some panels but I did not attend the one that you desire.

Here is a video of the Keynote presentation.
