little tick mark, does it help your account in anyway? because i see some have taken it upon themselves to get it but i dont see much of a change.

I've found that since getting verified my comments seem to have a higher place in the "Top Comments" field, so when lately when I posted comments on Vsauce and SciShow videos, I got like tons of thumbs up and a good amount of replies.

In general, your comments get ranked higher from having a fair amount of followers on Google+
