Sitting here editing, and I must have hit a key combination... Now I cant get rid of these markings nor the black video.

Have you tried undo? I know, I know, sounds stupid but some people do forget the undo function occsionally

ive had this happen to me its been awhile i either just closed then opened it back up or i right clicked the new video transition track and just searched threw transition till i found it and disabled it

Never happen to me before, have you tried undo?
