Using Youtube To Make Money Elsewhere

I haven't posted this in a while but since there have been quite a few newbies to this forum I'm going to repeat this advice. Most of us who have been around here for a little while or a long while know that it's very difficult to make more than spending money from Youtube. With that said, there are ways to use your Youtube channel to make money in other ways.

My channel is 85% baking. I started out all baking but then added a few travel, fitness, and personal videos into the mix. Using my baking videos, I was able to get gigs doing baking demonstrations and cookie decorating classes at a few farmers markets and a local fair for a fee. The other benefit to doing this is that I promote my Youtube channel to the participants and because they meet me face to face, it builds rapport and encourages more interaction.

Yep, if anyone wants to make a career out of YouTube, you best make sure there are other revenue streams you can tap into by utilizing your channel. After all, people view your channel because they find something valuable out of it, rather it's a value of entertainment, education, or community. The big players in youtube treat youtube as a business. You're more than welcome to not utilize it and count on views for revenue, but the big game comes down to running a business and a brand.
