Using Xbox One Game DVR for recording?

I haven't been able to invest in an Elgato HD60 capture card and so have to resort to using the Xbox One Game DVR feature to record my gameplay. What is everyone's opinion on using this to record gameplay? Also, I have heard that you can record game sessions by snapping twitch when playing on Xbox One, is this true or simply a myth!?

Well, I use a ps4 and an elgato, and a buddy of mine uses a ps4 too, but he uses the built in recording system, similar to xbox one's and works quite okay for him, but it is a better investment for yourself to get an elgato if you're serious about this stuff.

I use Xbox DVR. Don't have an elgato yet. I use Sony Vegas Pro and rendering it in 1080p WMV seems to make it look a little better. My PC capture card in my GeForce 970 is beautiful tho.
