Squeal Cat
I Love YTtalk
Hi, your points are all valid. I was testing something to see the results. First I want to respond to your points:Sorry I wasn't able to get a tutorial up I've had a busy weekend. Now I've noticed Squeal Cat mentions he is tweeting directly at the people. Keep in mind that sending out multiple tweets of the same thing over and over again can have some negative consequences.
1. It may annoy your twitter followers
2. Spamming is against twitters TOS
3. You may get the wrong kind of attention from someone
That's why i prefer to just favorite other peoples tweets that are in relation to your genre. I have "Liked Top 10" in my tweetdeck search bar. That way, anyone that likes a video that has the words "Top 10" will show up, and I just fav that tweet and move on. I'm not sure if I'll get as many views, but I see it as less intrusive.
1: Very true. I'm using an alternative account for this, so I don't annoy my followers for the real account.
2. I didn't know that for sure, but I was assuming that what you say is true. There should be no problem sending 20 personal messages to 20 random people. But when you send 2000 it's another story

3. My channel has no right or wrong attention from someone

Now back to the results.... I had another extensive attempt to message random twitter users... I had like 5 views from embedded views and 4 who were linked from Twitter as external site.
The results are far worse then I expected, I thought it would be at least 20 views.
So my conclusion based on my personal experience: Twitter has bad ROI for promoting stuff. The idea of @freshjiivetv has gave me slightly better results, but for me it's not good enough to continue using Twitter. And I personally always thought Twitter was terrible platform anyway.
