Using Laugh Tracks?

Thank you all for the replies! I agree with you, dylanbigdaddy. I tried watching Conan without the laugh tracks and it just doesn't feel right!

And Katt Strike, I fixed the channel link :) I don't have any videos as of yet (some are in post and pre production as I speak) but I should have some videos completed within two weeks or so.[DOUBLEPOST=1389199220,1389199122][/DOUBLEPOST]and FourGoldenTurtles, I know what you mean by tacky. I'm not considering placing it into every video I have but just only when it feels right or it helps to enhance the mood. Thanks for the reply.
 
Hey all, sorry for bringing up a dead thread (almost 4 months is considered "Dead", right?) :P

I've got some "Remote Sketch" segments soon which are kind of similar to Conan's segments where he goes out and tries something new and ends up trolling everything (which is basically what I'm doing anyway haha) IDK, would a laugh track be appropriate in the case of a remote sketch or would it be annoying for Youtube? It's hard to imagine the Conan sketches without the laugh track (which will just be pretty awkward moments TBH :P )

And laugh tracks won't make me look like a Tool, right?
 
I have never been a fan of laugh tracks. If there is a live audience then it's ok, but the things I have see that use recorded ones feel forced and it's annoying.
Just my 2 cents :)
 
Studies have shown that people are more likely to laugh if there is a laugh track. With that being said, make sure it doesn't abruptly interfere with your program and you'll be golden.
