Using Facebook for Views!!

Okay so recently I have started using facebook to promote my videos. I have been using twitter for a while and was wondering if I can use the same methods of facebook(Adding people and sending them links to my channel). On twitter this seems a little less creepy because people follow people they don't know all the time but on facebook it seems more like if you add someone you don't know, it's a little bit creepy! I need help on how to promote using facebook.

So you want to add random people and send them a link?

I kind of look at this like a sub4sub thing. You are just spamming people basically, and yes they have to accept your friend request first (sometimes) but that's pretty bad man. Would you accept a friend request from some random person on your personal fb account? Even if you did, would you then go to random links they sent you?

Facebook is diferent to twitter, but not to different.

On twitter I try to find hashtags or accounts that tweet about your subject alot.
This seems easy and gets a few views if they respond as people follow these things specifically for that content.

On facebook I do the same by trying to find "pages" and communities built around your content.

My last video was critical of a certain politician, so I went to facebook pages that clearly did not like this guy and posted links in there. I got a new group of viewers and a subscriber that way. No spam.

I wouldn't randomly friend people on Facebook (or Twitter, for that matter) just to send them a link to my channel. I use Facebook and Twitter to post when I have a new video up, but I don't think the first interaction I have with somebody should be a link to my channel. That just seems too close to spam for me.

Thanks for your help guys :) though when it comes to finding relevant hashtags it is quite difficult for a channel like mine considering that I mainly post comedy gaming(what I consider funny...) videos. Not really relevant to any popular topic...

The core of your video is gaming, comedy is just your delivery. You should still promote to pages and hashtags specific to that game.
