Uploading 2 very similar videos

I wonder if it is OK to upload on Youtube 2 very similar videos? I will be uploading them on the same Youtube account and the videos will be almost the same.

It will be 2 tutorials: "How to draw a portrait with charcoal" and "How to draw a portrait with pencil". I will be describing in these videos the same procedure, the only difference will be the tool used.

Those are two very different tools. I see no problem in making a separate video for each tool. Actually, I think it would make more sense to make it separate videos.
Now, if you are making a comparison video, it would be better to have each on one video, but a how-to, I think, should be two separate videos.

yeah I agree... you are using two different tools showing 2 different ways to draw things so it's a good idea to have two separate videos gives people options :)

My two top viewed videos are of the same thing from different angles, and I even made one of both shots combined not too long ago. I try not to upload very similar videos if one doesn't add anything special.... A lot of my dog videos on my computer are basically almost the same as what I upload to Youtube, I just pick the better one and archive the rest.

No I don’t see a problem with that at all. Maybe if you were uploading a video with very similar content to another users video, then that could be an issue in some people’s eyes, but if they’re both your videos then no problem.

This is A-OK. Maybe just space out the upload time. I know its a different genre, but I had a "How to improve using knives only in Black Ops 2" and then this year, "How to improve using knives only in Ghosts" Same concept, same tips, same general idea, just in a different game. The thought is that the video may be a near duplicate, but it reaches a completely different audience. Only your dedicated subscribers will even notice, and most of them will completely understand.
