Ultimate question. DO NETWORKS INCREASE EARNINGS?

I've been on the internet trying to find a answer for a while but I couldn't , so I'll ask here.
Based on your experience, does joining a network increase the rpm and adsense earnings?
If yes, how much?

They don't, as far as I know all they do is give you opportunities for audio libraries and stuff like that.

FOR SOME REASON

since I joined with TGN I have gotten a little bit more money coming in.

No idea how as my views and retention is more or less the same so idk

I can only speak from speculation as I have never been a part of a network, but I likely would never join one given the chance.

The TRUE purpose of an MCN is to offer support, and assets to you [the creator] in exchange for a percentage of your income. It stands to reason that the MCN would want all of their members to do well so they are paid more. A good MCN would reinvest a percentage of the money they make off of you back in to advertising of their members (though you can bet that this scale is not balanced, some members will get disproportionate exposure, if the MCN can make more money.

So maybe you'll get a little more exposure, maybe you'll get some other deals. But an MCN in my opinion exists for some creators who are more in tune with their talent than the online community and everything else that goes into youtube.

Carve wooden ducks all day and upload it to youtube? You might not know JACK about advertising/thumbnails/ect. An MCN would allow this person to keep doing what they do best while the MCN handles some of the smaller details that most people here can do themselves.

To answer in the same way you asked the question: NO THEY DON'T! :p
A way to increase earnings is if you work with licensing firm who will license (freferably non-exclusive) a single video.
Or the good old way: improve your channel, and get more subscribers and views.

There are firms out there like Jukin Media, Storyful, Rumble etc that will pay you a fixed amount or a percentage of profit if you allow them to promote your video (and make money from it). They have a wider reach and so your video has a better potential to go viral that way.

An exclusive license is like a network, you give them the exclusive right (except for yourself) to post, promote and make money from your video. In return you get 60-80% of the money they make.

A non-exclusive license gives them the right to promote your video to their partners and make money, but you retain the right to do the exact same thing with other companies. For this they either give you a fixed amount or also a percentage.

In the first option they gain control over your youtube monetization for that video, in the second option they don't.

Hope this sums it up shortly and correct :)[DOUBLEPOST=1459201363,1459201233][/DOUBLEPOST]These are only videos that have the potential to go viral, vlogs and the sorts won't work this way.
