Tutorials that are outside my niche?

So I do reviews of indie games...but am thinking I may start doing some Sony Vegas, Audacity, and Photoshop tutorials just to get some views in, some traffic, and hope those people may take a look at other videos too. I know its not part of my niche, but these are kind of gateway type videos in a sense that help you grow too and I don't mind doing them. I would say this is part of a, "how I make my reviews" type of thing.

Thoughts?

Are you going to do it off the same channel or create a "sister channel" and link at the end of videos?

It could work, but generally when people watch a tutorial they just want to do whatever it is the tutorial is teaching and not stop to watch some indie game reviews.

Still it can't hurt- but if traffic is the only reason you are doing it then I wouldn't spend too much time on the tutorials.

I think I'll stick it on my main channel. No need to branch off in my opinion. I will do some TubeBuddy stuff too in there, which is one of my sponsors, so it kind of all relates in that sense. I know the likely hood of them wanting to look at indie games too is low, but its still there, lol.

Yeh, like I said- it can't do any harm! If you have the time then why not, maybe they'll turn out to be really rewarding and become your main focus when you make it big ;)

If you tailor them to follow the main theme of your channel it can be a good idea. I get good traffic from my video cut tutorials.

That's kind of my idea. Also, as for the whole "do it on a sister channel" thing, there would be no point of my topic haha. Outside my niche as in on main channel but different audience =P

I confess I'd like to go full overboard and start making cooking videos. I guess it can be related to videogames, in one way or another
